ACT7 instance of Microsoft SQL server 2000

Alright; here is my problem. I recently bought ACT 2006 and tried to install. I had no such luck. I keep getting an error message that says need to unistall an ACT7 instance of Microsoft SQL server 2000. Now, I looked at downloading a service pack for the server, but I don't know what server I have. I would guess the 2000 edition. I am running Windows XP office edition and it is on a fairly new laptop. Can anybody help me. If I knew what server I have I could get the updates for it and from what I have read on other forums, that should fix the problem.Hi tyler9953 and welcome to TSDN,

If you go start -> control panel and select add / remove programs, you should find Microsoft SQL server in the list, you sould be able to discern which version you have installed.

If you want to install a service pack for server 2000, you can get service pack 4 here.

Hope this helps

Kind Regards

Purple
